Worrying about FUTURE

“The FUTURE depends on what we do in the PRESENT” – Mahatma Gandhi

Has this question ever popped up in your head that what would I do if I fail to get admission in a top college? Or would I ever be able to do anything worthful in life? If the answer is yes, then you are spending way too much time over worthless thoughts.

Since our childhood we are taught to focus on our studies, our grades and think about the future. We are made to believe that if we do not constantly plan out our future goals and objectives then our life would become a mess. No matter where we go or who we go to, everybody just talks about “FUTURE, FUTURE and FUTURE”! Nobody ever tells us to live in the present moment, think about the current situation.

We just spend our priceless time on worthless thoughts which often makes our present miserable, ultimately leading to a reckless life. We know that future is uncertain yet we try to keep on predicting it tirelessly rather than taking some good decisions in the present. There must have been innumerable trips that you had planned all in advance but still they weren’t as fun as the ones on which you just woke up, called your friends and went on. This is because in the latter you did not worry about the future, you just lived in the moment and tried to squeeze happiness from every single second.

Life is not just about planning for the time to come, it is more about what you do in time you have now to make it more enthralling and memorable. Remember that we only live once and that should not be wasted on taking up unnecessary stress.

Don’t have anything to do on this weekend? You’ve come to the right place as I’ll be showing you the top five web series in India to binge on this weekend. Just grab your snacks and drinks and get ready for a ride of various emotions and thrill!

5. Paatal Lok (2020)

This series is based around a police inspector (Hathiram Chaudhary) who has been given the task to solve a high profile case. As the title suggests it is based upon the phenomenon of two worlds (the good one and the bad one).

The show is filled with such twists and turns which takes the viewers to the darker side of the world we live in. It is a must watch for the people who keep keen interest in thriller and mysteries. Watch Hathiram Chaudhary unearth many such mysteries.

IMDB rated – 7.8

The show is available on primevideo.in.

4. Asur (2020)

Mythology is undoubtedly millions and millions of years old but its tales still bring a shimmer down our spine whenever we read about them even in the modern day.

Well this series is sure to give you a glimpse of it. We get to see a blend of chemistry and mythology which is showcased beautifully. It is simply a treat to watch. Currently it has only one season comprising of 8 episodes.

Last but not the least the plot twist in the end leaves us baffled. It just leaves us craving for the next season!

The series is currently available on voot.com .

IMDB rated 8.4

3. Sacred Games (2018)

This series is one of a kind, it is the series which gave the Indian web content a major breakthrough. Due to its brilliant story/concept and the bold scenes it started gaining immense popularity among the youth.

The story runs in flashback and is centered around the journey of a small town goon (Ganesh Gaitonde) and his rise to the top of the mafia table in Bombay.

It’s filled with brilliant surprises and twists that keep you hooked to the very last moment and are sure to knock you out of your seat!

Brilliant performances by Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Saif Ali Khan and Pankaj Tripathi are just icing on the cake. The show is available on netflix.com with 2 seasons full of thrill.

IMDB rated – 8.7

2. Mirzapur (2018)

Who doesn’t know about Mirzapur? Probably most of you would have already watched both the seasons. For those who haven’t watched it yet, it is a story of a mafia boss (Akhandanand Tripathi) AKA Kaleen Bhaiyya who has earned immense wealth by smuggling drugs and ammunition in the light of a carpet company.

Trouble starts when his not so worthy/ immature son stars creating nuisance around the town and invites unwanted problems and enemies. The show is filled with lots and lots of firepower and cuss words which takes the thrill and excitement to another level.

It is a must watch series and I would personally recommend spending a weekend to watch this crime thriller series. It is available on primevideo.in.

IMDB rated – 8.4

1. Scam 1992 (2020)

One or the other time you must heard about the biggest financial scam that took place in India from your father or uncle. Well this is the series which would fulfil your desires about knowing more about that case.

The series is based on real events which are about the stockbroker Harshad Mehta and the financial scam that took place in the year 1992. It beautifully portrays the rise of Harshad Mehta from a common man to one of India’s richest and biggest stockbroker. You don’t need to have knowledge about any kind financial terms as the story is presented in a manner so that even a layman can understand.

It is my personal favorite. The background music and the cinematic shots are just spot on and will keep you hooked to the very last episode. And last but not the least the actors have given a tremendous performance. The series is available on sonyliv.com.

IMDB rated – 9.6

So these were my top 5 web series to binge watch on weekends and make them exciting. Like and share it with your friends, and do tell me in the comments on what other things you would like to know my top 5. Have a nice Weekend!
